Software Company Brings Online Casino Gaming to China
21 Dec 2006
A leading online casino software provider is going to a market that hasn’t really been tapped by the online casino industry that much yet. Landing this five year online casino software licensing agreement with China’s leading gambling group, the online casinos software company’s stock immediately shot up 5 percent. Its primary operations are in Chinese gaming, internet and mobile media markets that are currently the focus of online gambling companies searching for new business to replace US opportunities impacted by the UIGEA, or Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act.
‘The Chinese market is a vast and incredibly exciting marketplace and…is extremely well positioned to assist operators such as SSI in rolling out new gaming products in a phased manner in accordance with Chinese regulations. This license agreement will further establish…presence in Asia and is in line with the company’s ongoing strategy,’ said the CEO of the online casino software company. The online casino software provider and China’s gambling company will be the first major distributors of Texas Hold’em Poker in the Chinese market.
Following the launch of the online casino poker product in the coming months, the Chinese gambling group expects to launch a selection of P2P Chinese games powered by the online casino software company. These online casino tournament games will operate through selected outlets in China in the first half of 2007 after a testing, approval and implementation period. If all goes well, China will be yet another fresh market for online casino groups moving their business from the US to the other nations of the world.
